ENTERING SCORES ON COMPUTER

MEMBERS ASSISTANCE

Introduction.

We are going to use the new computer system to create the results and would like to ask members for their assistance in reducing the time required to complete the results each week.

Process

1: When a name is entered on the staring sheet it is then confirmed when the payment to play has been made.

If no payment is made then it remains as a no show unless cancelled prior to play commencing.

2: To assist the scorer to complete the results would like to ask members to enter results at the end of the game.

To speed up the process of entering scores suggest that one member of the group enter the score for that group.

3: Each member who has paid to play will require a result entered against their name, either a gross, stableford, or if they wish to have no score registered enter NSR. Before the results go through Golf link each entry has to have a result beside their name.

4: Filling out of cards:

The card is to have name (ledgible) the correct handicap, and be signed by both the marker and the player. If a DQ appears against your name then you may have been disqualified for one of the above.

The members number would helpful.

A disqualification will also occur in stroke play if a score is not entered against a hole.

5: Teams events

When entering to play in a teams event, one person can enter 4 names but to play as a team the position 1&2 will be one team , 3&4 the other.

This to take effect for the next team game on the 16^th Feb The foursomes Champs

The fields are getting bigger and I am looking at the time it takes to complete the results under the current system, and by using the computer with members assistance should reduce the time considerably.
